Stitching the Trevelyon: Blackwork

This workshop “Blackwork” will explore the Trevelyon manuscript, including the Elizabethan world at that time, the importance of the English Renaissance aesthetic and how that translated into needlework, and how blackwork embroidery exemplified all of that

As with all of our workshops, it will be focused primarily on lecture but will include a kit and instructions which will allow you to explore period materials and techniques

It is the first part of a multi-part series on the Trevelyon Manuscript entitled “Stitching the Trevelyon”
